Maths, Motorbikes, Coffee and Cake

This month I have mainly been doing mathematics. I’m hosting a few Maths Inspiration days, which thankfully is less about me knowing maths than about me knowing how to host a lively event. We also performed Your Days Are Numbered again, this time to a firm of actuaries (anyone else ever been heckled with the word “stochastic”?).
And, just for fun, I spent a whole weekend at MathsJam, where my mind was alternately tickled and baffled by mathematical puzzles.
If your bent is more operatic, I'm also hosting some events for Wellcome about coffee and cake - where you can enjoy both, plus goulash and live opera.
Coming up next, the Bike Show (sorry, Carole Nash Motorcycle Live 2010) where I plan to do some indoor off-roading, check out the latest bikes and pick up some bargain kit. If you’re not riding yet, you can do a Free Ride there, just to see if you like it. See you there.
